The Regina 525 HPE 120 pitch 137HPE/1007 chain is the first maintenance-free chain. The tetrahedral amorphous carbon coating applied to the bushes and rollers offers high levels of hardness with a low coefficient of friction in the chain drive. It eliminates lubricant splash during operation, minimising environmental impact.

Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C) coating is an advanced DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating that has been applied to the surfaces of HPE chain bushes and rollers, combining high hardness with a low coefficient of friction

Eliminates the need for periodic relubrication, while guaranteeing at least the same mileage as a normal chain lubricated regularly every 310 miles (EU: 500 km)

Reduces energy dissipation and increases transmission efficiency

MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, AND CHAIN TENSIONING REGINA HPE:

To ensure its best functionality and aesthetics over time, follow 3 simple rules:

Clean and relubricate the chain: Just after washing the bike. After using the bike in rainy conditions and/or in salty or dusty environments.

Before storing the bike at the end of the peak riding season. Re-lubricate the chain once a year. Check that the chain is correctly tensioned every 3,000 km.
