The “WSBK” filter was developed in collaboration with the KRT, MV Agusta Reparto Corse and BSB Superbike teams with a very exclusive new custom air filter style for racing and track bikes only. The shape of the filter fits the airbox and is made as large as possible, which greatly increases the filter surface. One of the reasons why we cannot make it for all types of bikes. We were able to increase the filter surface from 50 to 100%, depending on the bike. Larger surface = less restriction = more power and better protection.
These new “WSBK” style filters are made from two different foam materials, consciously placed to create as even an airflow as possible across all cylinders. The filters are hand cut and polished.
Unlike all other sport filters, the “WSBK” filter creates a much better and more even airflow across all cylinders, meaning you need to tailor the fuel delivery of all cylinders separately to achieve the maximum effect of the “HE” filter. Affects all twin, V-twin, three, four and V4 engines
Remapping of the ECU or fuel control module is highly recommended
The difference between our road and race bike filters
The foam material of our race filters has a much more open structure compared to the foam material of road filters, which makes the maintenance duration much shorter; the protection is at the same level as our road bike filters, but for a shorter time, so the maintenance is much more intensive. The maintenance frequency of race bike filters is every other race weekend. Race bike filters are therefore NOT suitable for road bikes.
Our road bike filters have a recommended maintenance frequency of once a year... regardless of mileage.
Even if you have ridden 80km that year, follow the guidelines; the priority for the filter is to keep the foam from drying out, keep it "wet" with oil.
In countries around the equator with high temperatures and high humidity, the frequency should be shortened to twice a year. The racing bike filter can be operated with the normal maintenance frequency
Only biodegradable filter oil and MWR biodegradable filter cleaner can be used to protect the filter against explosion.
