Why is the SDE needed?

It is common to replace the OEM steering damper with a better unit for racing use. The ECU detects that the electrical characteristics have changed and displays the "FI" error on the dashboard.

It is very important that this "false" error is suppressed as otherwise any other fault that may occur later will be masked.

What does the SDE do

The SD Eliminator emulates the electrical characteristics of the original steering damper, so the ECU does not detect any changes and therefore does not display the "FI" error.

The unit is really compact (14x40mm) and lightweight (17g) and only needs to be plugged directly into the original connector on the bike to remove the error, no cutting or soldering required.

Each of the SDE units is designed for a specific range of bikes and comes prepared with the correct connector to ensure a 100% "Plug & Play" installation.

The SD Eliminator is 100% waterproof and has a two-year warranty.

Installation

Plug the SDE into the connector on the original damper and secure with cable ties.
