The universal GIpro X-Type G2 gear counter is compatible with almost any motorcycle, designed for those that cannot use a GIpro GPAT (connected to a standard gear sensor) or a GIpro GPDT (connected to the diagnostic port).

The GIpro X-Type T01 Gear Indicator is compatible with:

This product is only the GIpro X-Type G2 display: it has a very short cable with a special connector to be used in conjunction with one of the specific GPX harnesses to facilitate installation.

It is ESSENTIAL that you purchase the appropriate GPX harness together with the GIpro X-Type display.

The GIpro X-Type G2 determines the gear engaged from the ratio between the speed and the engine revolutions. This is the method used by all universal gear counters on the market.

But the GIpro uses a microprocessor that adapts to the type of electronic signal the bike generates and has an advanced noise filter so it works with the most "difficult" or older bikes where other tachometers fail.

It doesn't need any "programming cables" or buttons to configure it, all functions are accessible through a touch sensor hidden in the top of the housing, ensuring that the unit is 100% resistant to humidity.

The GIpro X-Type has a programmable "shift light"/over-rev light/maximum speed warning, unique on the market.

The digit display can be inverted so that the screen can be mounted with the cable facing upwards.

It is very fast and does not register the delay usual with other brands.

The display is available in red, blue, yellow, green, and white. Although all colours are bright, the yellow would be best installed in a location out of direct sunlight.

The GIpro X-Type is installed using one of the GPX wiring harnesses specific to the bike model in question. No cutting or splicing of wires is required, the kit includes quality 3M Scotchlok "wire-snapper" connectors.

Housings/mounts are available to mount this product on the handlebar.

It is also possible to order a custom GIpro X-Type, for example to mount inside the frame.

Possible options are:

- with the display separated from the electronics to mount a smaller display on the frame,

- with a flat or round interconnect cable between the electronics and the micro display,

- with a 3m cable,

- with a large display (for example for a street car).
