HEALTECH SPEEDOHEALER SH-V4 TSD

What is a "SpeedoHealer"?

A SpeedoHealer allows you to calibrate your speedometer/odometer and correct both the inherent factory error and the offset caused by changing the gear ratio (sprocket/crown/wheel).

SpeedoHealer V4-TSD - Generic module with automatic A/B memory switching

This unit can be programmed to switch from one memory/correction factor to another at a given speed (programmable).

A common use of this option would be to use

- memory A for normal use / to correct the speedometer display and

- memory B to override a speed limiter. This is achieved by programming a high, negative correction factor such as -30% to trick the ECU into thinking the vehicle is going much slower than it actually is, thus preventing the limiter from being activated.

It is the most accurate and flexible speedometer calibrator on the market, compatible with any motorcycle with an electronic speedometer.

Why use a SpeedoHealer?

Correct Speedometer Error

On most modern motorcycles, the speedometer error margin when leaving the factory can reach 10%. If we add to this that changing the gear ratio and/or tires can alter the speedometer reading by up to 15%, we are talking about a possible inaccuracy close to 30%.

Also, changing a sprocket (even if the number of teeth does not vary much) can cause the odometer to read incorrectly, above the actual value, which unjustifiably reduces the value of the bike when it is sold.

Remove the speed limit

Some vehicles have a speed limit, for example Can-Am ATVs, Honda CBR1000RR / VFR800X / VFR1200F, Kawasaki ZX-10R / ZX-12R / ZX-14 / ZZR140, Polaris ATVs, Yamaha FZ-09 / MT-09 / YZF R1 / V-Max (and many others).

A SpeedoHealer can prevent the limit from being applied (for racing use only). Although all SpeedoHealers have two memories, the SpeedoHealer V4-AB is probably the most appropriate module for this application. See the description above for the SpeedoHealer V4-AB.

Displaying speed in miles/hour or km/h

The SpeedoHealer can convert the displayed speed from km/h to miles per hour with the push of a button (converting miles/hour to km/hour requires programming the appropriate correction factor +60.9%).

Using an Aftermarket Speedometer

An aftermarket speedometer/dashboard may not function properly with the vehicle's original speed signal. The SpeedoHealer can modify the signal to make the speedometer read correctly, or it can work with an external speed sensor (SH-WSS cable).

Displaying the Last Maximum Speed (SpeedoHealer V4-TS/V4-C)

The SpeedoHealer TS includes a small external button (for mounting in a convenient location) that causes the SpeedoHealer to play back the last maximum speed recorded on the speedometer.

Specific Vehicle Information

The Healtech Finder shows the product compatible with your vehicle, but some bikes have a different installation than normal.

Honda X-ADV 2017 onwards

The SpeedoHealer cannot be installed on the speed sensor cable. It needs to be installed on the cable between the ECU and the frame to not confuse the DCT system. Installation details are here.

Kawasaki Versys X300

If the gear ratio has been changed on this bike, it may cause problems with the automatic shifting. It requires a SpeedoHealer installed between the speed sensor and the ECU to restore the signal to its original frequency.

The speedometer will then have a significant error and requires a second SpeedoHealer installed between the ECU and the frame to correct this error. Installation details are here.

Yamaha MT-09 2017 onwards

The SpeedoHealer can be installed between the ABS ECU and the main ECU, using the rear wheel speed signal. However, the main ECU manages the traction control so the top speed button cannot be used on this bike without causing a traction control error.

Features

Programmable Dual Memory Calibrator - Calibrates the speedometer and odometer to 100% accuracy. Two memories to store two calibration values.
